We moved in!

Sorry for the late update.
We got the keys to the house on September 4th and things have been hectic.
Getting the internet setup at the house, dealing with Jen's pregnancy.
Yes, we just found out that our 2nd child is on the way.

Cheesey smile after getting the key

Fast forward few weeks, father-in-law is helping with the soil preparation for 350 pounds of grass seed

7 days later, lots of green fuzz in the front...

And more fuzz at the rear

Grading the yard

Things are getting close to being done.
I fixed the wiring mistake in the garage over the weekend.
I like to fish but not fishing wires in the finished ceiling.
Allison approves the lighting, it's very bright in there.

Touch-up painting and flooring left inside

Gravel in front of the garage widens

Side yard with a gravel pad for the travel trailer and the tractor

Sorry for the delayed post

It's getting close! I think 2 and a half weeks more and it should be done.
Front columns are wrapped with PVC material that never rots.
Rails are also PVC. I am so looking forward to not painting the house again.

Kitchen cabinets installed. Fridge goes to the left, gas stove in the middle.

Dishwasher to the right, sink below the window.
The island will have the counter extended to allow sitting.

This is the entry way and dining room. There will be tiles by the door.

Master bathtub. Considering how secluded it is, we won't need shades.

Drywall

Almost done hanging the drywall, started taping.
This is the kitchen

This is looking out from the family room

View from the main entry way, Allison approves

The TV room, Allison can hardly contain herself, keeps dancing around.

The builder is completely redoing the brick due to some major issues.
Different mason, much better results.

Good, bad and ugly

The good: Siding is almost done
The bad: Front brick work won't pass inspection due to missing flashing, improper lintel size and other things. It will have to be redone completely. They are assigning a different mason to redo it all.
The ugly: Brick work is just ugly.

Waterproofing

Here are the bricks that will be used to cover the front of the house

8 inches of grave in the basement floor. All drain plumbing will be in the grave, and concrete slab on top.

They spray waterproofing and apply R-5 insulation for the foundation

Waterproofing everywhere, comes with a warranty/guarantee

Every part of the foundation must be covered
